IOWA PHYSICAL THERAPY PAC
What is the PAC?
The APTA Iowa PAC allows us to support candidates who understand the value of and support physical therapy. Your donation helps the association give a voice to issues that may not otherwise be heard.
We frequently spend time meeting and educating congressional members on the issues that are important to the physical therapy profession in Iowa. The following are some of the important items about which we have shared our opinions:
- PT Interstate Licensure Compact
- Telehealth
- Opioid Epidemic Evaluation Study Committee
- Dry Needling
- Concussion
- Copay for PT services
- Imaging Legislation
- Crossbow Legislation
In the past few legislative sessions we have successfully advocated for the enactment of the Physical Therapy Interstate Licensure Compact, Medicaid Oversight improvements and student athlete concussion protocols - all due to the support of Iowa policy makers.
